Florida forward Tyrese Samuel, a 6-foot-10, 239-pound graduate player from Montreal, Quebec, averaged 19 points, eight rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks against Pitt and No. 13 Baylor in the NIT Season Tip-Off. He stuffed the stat sheet in the win vs. Pitt, posting the SEC's first 20/10/3/3/3 stat line in more than seven years. Samuel shot 16-for-17 (.941) from 2-point range for the week while being named to the NIT Season Tip-Off All-Tournament Team.

Kentucky guard D.J. Wagner, a 6-foot-4, 194-pound freshman from Camden, N.J., averaged 25 points, 5.5 assists, two rebounds and two steals in wins over Saint Joseph's and Marshall. He opened the week by scoring a then-career-high 22 points - including seven in the overtime period against Saint Joseph's. Wagner was clutch down the stretch making 5 of 6 free throws with three minutes remaining and in the overtime period. Wagner then followed that performance with 28 points to help UK to a 118-82 win over Marshall.
