Men's Golfer of the Week
Cole Sherwood  Vanderbilt

Round Scores: 66-70-67; 203 (-7)

  • Sherwood claimed the tournament's individual title at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational after winning a playoff hole against Georgia Tech's Christo Lamprecht.
  • The senior shot 3-under 67 in Round 3 to move up six spots on the player leaderboard to finish at 7-under 203 and force an extra hole.
  • In the playoff, Sherwood sunk a 6-foot putt to win the individual title and earn an exemption into the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club, which is on the PGA Tour. It is Sherwood's first collegiate win since picking up the title at the 2022 Mason Rudolph Championship.

Women's Golfer of the Week
Maisie Filler  Florida
Sr. Palm Beach Gardens, FL
  • Won first collegiate individual title at Tar Heel Invitational
  • Helped lead the Gators to its second straight team victory this fall
  • Shot a 54-hole score of 203 (-13); tied her career low and second lowest in program history
  • Recorded all three rounds under par: 64-70-69
  • Had a bogey-free 64 (-8) in the opening round, which marked second-lowest in program history
  • Out of 54-holes, made 33 pars, 16 birdies and 1 eagle.
Women's Golfer of the Week
Ingrid Lindblad  LSU
Gr.  Halmstad, Sweden
  • Won her second tournament of the fall, finishing as co-medalist with teammate Latanna Stone, at 9-under par 207 at the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah Country Club outside Chicago on Tuesday.
  • Lindblad posted rounds of 67-72-68, giving her 14 consecutive rounds of par/under rounds dating back to the final five rounds of the 2023 spring season.
  • Now has 13 career college wins at LSU, tying what is believed to be the SEC record of 13 career wins set by Stacy Lewis at Arkansas, 2005-08.
  • Part of the winning team effort for the Tigers as they posted a three-round total of 27-under 837.
Women's Golfer of the Week
Latanna Stone  LSU
Gr.  Riverview, FL 
  • Won her third career college title, finishing as co-medalist with teammate Ingrid Lindblad, at 9-under par 207 at the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah Country Club outside Chicago on Tuesday.
  • Stone's three LSU wins have all come in the last 10 starts for the Tigers dating back to the start of the 2023 spring season.
  • Stone posted rounds of 69-70-68 for her winning scores.
  • Was the runner-up in the 2023 United States Women's Amateur in August in California.
  • Part of the winning team effort for the Tigers as they posted a three-round total of 27-under 837.

Maria José Marin  Arkansas

Individual Result: 1st place - 67-67=134 (-10) at Blessings Collegiate Invitational at Blessings GC

Team Result: 1st place - 285-280=565 (-11)

Third round cancelled due to weather // results became final after 36 holes

  • José Marin won her first collegiate event in just her second collegiate tournament. The freshman became the individual medalist at the 2023 Blessings Collegiate Invitational hosted by Arkansas after carding a 10-under 134 (67-67) with 16 birdies in 36 holes.
  • Won the tournament by three strokes and was huge in helping the Hogs claim the team title, as No. 1 Arkansas won the tournament with an 11-under 565 (285-280). She held a 3.75 scoring average on par 4s, which was a tournament best (along with her 16 birdies).
  • The Cali, Colombia product has begun her collegiate career with all five rounds at par or under and four rounds in the 60s.
