KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A sound display of offense and steady defense helped No. 12 Tennessee sweep Texas A&M (25-20, 25-16, 25-22) on Sunday afternoon at Food City Center.

The sweep marked the 13th of the season for the Lady Vols, who improved to 18-3 on the year and 9-2 in SEC play. Other than aces, Tennessee won the battle in kills (40-38), hitting percentage (.349-.213), assists (36-33), digs (46-29) and blocks (6-3).

The Aggies (14-7, 6-5 SEC) entered the contest as the nation's second-ranked team in blocks per set finished with just three total on the day. The Texas A&M offense struggled to get going, recording 15 attacking errors and 15 service errors.

Graduate student right side Morgahn Fingall led the offense as the lone UT player with double-digit kills on the day, posting 15 on .419 hitting to go along with four digs.

Graduate student outside hitter Jenaisya Moore tallied nine kills, four digs and a pair of blocks, while junior outside hitter Erykah Lovett notched seven kills, 11 digs, one ace and one block.

Guiding the offense was redshirt freshman setter Caroline Kerr, who recorded 33 assists, six digs, two kills and one block.

Defensively, graduate student libero Yelianiz Torres posted a match-high 17 digs to solidify the back row.

At the net, graduate student middle blocker Raeven Chase finished with a match-best four blocks and three kills, while sophomore middle blocker Keondreya Granberry notched four kills and two blocks.

The Lady Vols cruised to a 25-20 win in the opening frame, as the Big Orange never trailed in the set. Fingall paced the offense with five kills on .556 hitting. UT's defense held the Aggies to .135 hitting in the period and forced A&M to have eight attacking errors. After holding a 9-8 advantage, the Lady Vols used an 8-3 run to swing the momentum in their favor.

From there, Tennessee never looked back, taking the set 25-16. The Big Orange hit .433 for the frame, as Fingall led the way with six more kills. Kerr had 15 assists in the period to help guide the offense.

Tennessee completed the sweep in the third set thanks to .393 hitting and seven service errors by the Aggies. The Lady Vols scored on 18 of their 23 (78%) sideout opportunities during the frame, as the Big Orange once again never trailed in the period. Moore had six kills in the frame, while Torres had nine digs and Chase recorded two blocks to pace the defense down the stretch.
